ON VOCALS:

Carolyn Cairo

A native of Colorado, Carolyn has spent her life in the music scene. Performing throughout the US, Canada, Germany and Japan, she has entertained audiences, along with many of Denver’s top musicians, for many years. Her soulful and powerful vocals reflect her influences of rock, soul and blues and have molded her into a seasoned vocalist whose professional career has spanned nearly three decades. 

From the uptown clubs of Vancouver and Toronto to exclusive piano bars in Japan, Carolyn has been the featured vocalist at various venues.  And for more than two years, she has performed at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino as well as the Venetian & Sahara Resorts in Las Vegas as a member of their "house" bands. 

Her vocals will capture you as she fronts The Custom Shop. 

ON GUITAR:

Murat Iyigun

The founder of The Custom Shop, Murat started playing guitar at 14. His musical influences range from the blues legends Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, Peter Green, Mike Bloomfield, Luther Allison, Buddy Whittington and Gary Moore to the hard rockers Brian May, Jimmy Page, Slash and Randy Rhoads.

Murat was born to a Turkish father and Turkish-American mother in Turkey, where he lived through his youth. After having spent over a decade on the East Coast, Murat has been residing in Louisville, Colorado since 2000.
   

ON HORNS:

Tony Arceneaux

Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, Tony Arceneaux lights up any venue he plays with his decades of music experience in Motown, funk, R&B and Blues. Since the 1970s, he has played and toured with many Colorado acts covering all kinds of music genres.

ON KEYBOARDS & PIANO:

Scott "Shack" Hackler

Shack was born in Bloomington, Indiana. Since earning his BA in Music Composition with High Distinction from Concordia University Saint Paul in 1985, Scott has worked as a musician, composer, arranger, music director, worship leader, and music educator. He has composed music in a wide variety of styles, with pieces ranging from solo piano and chamber music to gospel choir numbers. He has toured the United States extensively as a solo artist and as an accompanist. He has also worked as a studio musician, doing session work on albums for numerous artists.

Since moving to Colorado in 2012, Scott has performed regularly in the Denver metro area and around the state, both as a solo artist and as a member or guest artist with numerous area bands.

Scott is the proud father of two sons, Grant and Sheldon. He currently resides in Golden, Colorado.

ON BASS:

Joe Pacheco

JP has played a wide array of music throughout his career, from the classic Rock of the 70s to Latin Rock, Zydeko, Blues and Country Western. Since moving to the Denver area in 1982, JP has worked with many talented musicians and bands on the Front Range such as The Bad Apples, Strictly Business, Route 66, Rhythm All Stars, Stone Soup, Eef and the Blues Express, the Randall Dubis Band and many others. JP's great sense of humor and crazy antics on and off stage keeps everyone on their toes and brings an added spark of energy and fun to the band. 

     

ON DRUMS:

Don Stahl

Originally from the small town of Fairbury, IL., Don Stahl comes to The Custom Shop armed with 35 years of playing drums on tour, on stage and in studio. A graduate of the world famous, “Musicians Institute” in Hollywood, CA., Don learned early what it takes to be a professional, working player. His lifelong focus has been supporting the artist (in any style/genre of music) while still expressing and bringing his own identity to the band mix. After Hollywood, Don lived in Tampa, FL. playing and touring with several groups locally, regionally, and nationally in almost all states & major cities in the U.S., most notably with Blues great, Damon Fowler.

Since moving to northern Colorado in 2014, Don has performed with many top Front Range acts, including The Symbols and A.J. Fullerton, and is also an “In Demand” drum set teacher for Guitar Center as well as private students at his home studio.
