ON GUITAR:

Murat Iyigun

The founder of The Custom Shop, Murat started playing guitar at 14. His musical influences range from the blues legends Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, Peter Green,, Mike Bloomfield, Luther Allison, Buddy Whittington and Gary Moore to the hard rockers Queen, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Slash and Randy Rhoads.

Murat was born to a Turkish father and Turkish-American mother in Turkey, where he lived through his youth. After having spent over a decade on the East Coast, Murat has been residing in Louisville, Colorado, with his wife and two daughters since 2000.

During the day, Murat is Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn, Germany and the treasurer of the Mile High Blues Society.

ON KEYBOARDS & PIANO:

Scott "Shack" Hackler

Shack was born in Bloomington, Indiana. He began singing at an early age and played various musical instruments before settling into a lifelong love affair with the piano. He began composing music in his teens. Since earning his BA in Music Composition with High Distinction from Concordia University Saint Paul in 1985, Scott has worked as a musician, composer, arranger, music director, worship leader, and music educator. He has composed music in a wide variety of styles, with pieces ranging from solo piano and chamber music to gospel choir numbers. He has toured the United States extensively as a solo artist and as an accompanist. He has also worked as a studio musician, doing session work on albums for numerous artists.

Since moving to Colorado in 2012, Scott has performed regularly in the Denver metro area and around the state, both as a solo artist and as a member or guest artist with numerous area bands.

Scott is the proud father of two sons, Grant and Sheldon. He currently resides in Golden, Colorado.

ON DRUMS & PERCUSSION:

Carleton Pike

Carleton Pike is a 40-year veteran drummer and singer who has played and toured with some of the most prominent bands in Austin, Texas, and Denver, Colorado.

Besides freelancing with The Custom Shop, you can catch Carleton holding down the rhythm for the Outliers, Rex Peoples Band, Alan Knight and Company and Roundhouse. In January 2016, Carleton will be part of the Rex Peoples Band representing the Colorado Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

ON BASS:

Jim Antone

Another veteran of the Colorado blues and rock music scene with over 40 years experience in the business, Jim Antone has held down the low end for many bands in New Jersey and the Denver Metro area.

These days, Jim can be found playing live with Alan Knight and Company and The Custom Shop.

Jodie Woodward

Jodie Woodward is one of a few female bass players in Colorado, with an extraordinary style and wicked grooves. Jodie is the four-time winner of the Colorado Blues Society Best Bassist Award. She also performs with the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Famer, Sammy Mayfield Band, Alan Knight and Company, as well as Erik Boa and The Constrictors. Besides serving as the Vice President of the Mile High Blues Society, Jodie is the founder of Woodward Productions which produces several events each year, including Women Rock the Night and annual Holiday Toy Drive/Pro-Jam.

ON SAXOPHONE AND FLUTE:

Tony Arceneaux

Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, Tony Arceneaux lights up any venue he plays with his decades of music experience in Motown, funk, R&B and Blues. Since the 1970s, he has played and toured with many Colorado acts covering all kinds of music genres.

ON HARMONICA:

Peter Goldstein

Peter Goldstein is a veteran harp player with a passion for the blues. He has played harmonica for over 40 years and has been a regular on the blues scene in and around Denver over the last three years, playing with a number of bands and performing in over 40 venues.

Kim Leonard

Kim Leonard grew up in Denver, Colorado. She picked up the Blues Chromatic Harmonica when she was 12 years old, inspired by the Blues recordings of Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson, Jason Ricci, William Clarke, Kim Wilson, Annie Raines and many more. Kim Leonard has shared with the stage with some outstanding blues musicians, such as Coco Robicheaux, Dan Treanor, Erik Boa and the Constrictors, Randall Dubis Band, and the Alan Knight Band. Kim's career highlights include having participated in all the Women Rock the Night, Female All-Star Blues and Hermonious Showcases from 2004 to the present.
